High Five

This space completed 5 long years yesterday. Well, a long way to have come. Thinking about it, I am still amazed as to what all I have written. Certainly didn't have a clue about it when I started.

Also, thinking about what all I could have written. I am still not comfortable to share my views on certain topics - got to mature in that way. But one thing is for sure. I now write for myself. I don't wait for comments, nor do I seek approval. I write when I want to, the way I want to.

I write to express myself, I write to extend myself. No sweat. I like this phase. No pressures to write, no anticipation of comments. I hope it stays that way. I almost abandoned the blog last year for a while; but yeah I am glad I was able to rebound.

At times, I feel I've narrowed my scope of writing. Has my interest waned? Not really, its just that few things are not worth whining about. What can you do about it? And the kind of issues are limited isn't it? :-) And why write only about issues.

However, its better than not writing at all. It keeps me at peace, jotting down what I want to. Sharing good things once in a while. So be it. Above all, I can't end without talking about bloggers who have been reading me. I feel so motivated by the encouragements I receive. The ones who continue to read me are genuine folks who truly appreciate my views and what better to ask for.

So the sojourn continues....

  5. Congrats to you on reaching the 5 year blogging anniversary. You mentioned that you had almost abandoned the blog last year. I hope you don't ever feel tempted to do that again. Not even for a short while. Like you said, there is a long way to go but the journey of blogging has continuously been evolving for avid bloggers like yourself.

Just a couple of suggestions to keep your interest in blogging live and kicking:

    1. Keep a tiny pocket diary in which you can jot down just about anything you observe, read or feel strongly about. Days down the lane, you may be surprised by what you had written down or read or felt. That may further be fleshd out into an idea that you can write a blogpost about.

    2. We live in a world that is constantly being redefined by our experiences with people, places and even possessions. Why not write about it and lend a different point of view to others who may not have recognized it in the first place?

    3. There is so much to read, write and learn about every day. When you write and share it on your blog, you empower so many people to think and debate differently. Do keep blogging no matter what.

    All the best!

    1. Thank you for your suggestions. I second everything you said. Sometimes, something doesn't let you do it when you want to as well, so those times i let it go with the flow. Definitely, there are no dearth for topics to write :)

  7. My suggestion. do not be carried away by opinions that endorses your view. I'm sure we may find it refreshing and enlivening when we are told perhaps something is amiss with our opinion. don't you think so?
    Carry on .
