2 years of writing

 It all started 2 years ago. Those times when I was serving notice period in my first organization. I was feeling awkward, you know the time when the colleagues around you treat you as if you ditched them, your manager gives a yearning look as if "What was wrong here!!" and when the truth is accepted, you are removed from TO list and put under CC list.....and are ignored eventually.

I got reminded of the blog that I had created almost a year ago and almost forgot about it. It was to express my thoughts and views regarding events happening around me. This day 2 years ago I wrote "Wings to my thoughts". Yes, my very post read thus -

Phew!!!! I created this blog of mine about a year back. I stopped at that. I almost forgot abut this blog.
I have always wanted to pen down things that happen around me, things that influence me, makes me think about it for a moment.simple things like me smiling and waving a "Hi" to the dog that has made my street its world(oh yeah..I wish the dog everyday..I will write about this later) to serious and tough things I get to face.
Somehow I have always backed off from pouring out my thoughts, but why? Yaaawwwnn...same old lame omni-present reason. NO TIME, and coupled with this my fear..
Whatever.. there is a beginning at one point of time. And this is it. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. Ciao...

That's how I started blogging. I was not sure if my writings were even close to something decent. But it made me feel good. So started writing for myself. A couple of them read my posts - my friends. i revealed about it only after few months. I was shy and wary about anyone making fun about it. I guarded it to isolation as much as possible. I was apprehensive to visit other blogs as well, what if they figure out my blog and jump in?? Weird isn't it.
 It surprises me when I see I have 163 posts on board and I have had wide variety of topics to write about. Never ever thought I could write so much!!. And yes, not to forget my photo posts. ;-)
 
Gautam was the first one to follow my blog, well after 5 months. I kept it a secret until then. I have already mentioned it earlier, he has been reading and encouraging whatever i wrote since then. It feels nice even more now that his dad has started to follow the blog. :-)

Well, few people somehow came to know of my blog's existence and started reading. The numbers gradually increased. I started visiting other blogs too. I have met wonderful people on this blog world, who have been a part of my blog either as honest commentators, giving me ideas and views. To learn about new things, to read about others' views gives a sense of relaxation.

I started writing about simple events that happen around us, the humor we miss in them, the beauty around us that we ignore. When I read my older posts, I cant believe my evolution. I have indeed evolved as a writer, matured. Few of my writings has surprised myself - Timeless which was just impromptu, my best anti-climax Such perfection, A CRACKLING story weaved around the concept of onomatopoeia, a funny take on people' comments in I Love Your comments, sarcasm at my best in India's Natural Wonders, the post which was contagious - You drive me Lazy, funny take on Indian English - Ingilees or English, the post that made people yearn for coffee - Kaapi Time, a post to about Fractals - Chaos Theory and Fractals, my observations in the elevator - Taking a Lift?

 Few of my posts evoked an outburst, few were appreciated a lot. Its been great so far. But I still write for my satisfaction, to relax and unwind. I am blessed that few folks out there respect my thoughts and share their views too.

There are few blogger whom i would like to mention who have encouraged me to continue writing, because their comments are always there, no matter what - SG, Neha, Gautam, Shaunak, Gayathri, The Holy Lama, Lostworld, SM, Bikram, Samvedna, Makk, BK Chowla, Ketan, Karthik, Hary, soin, Rajlakshmi, Abhinav and all others whom I might have missed out.
